Most of the library came from requests. If a title is not listed, put it in the queue.
How the queue works
Requests are read and sorted by how many people have asked for the same title. A request nobody else has made still gets looked at, it just takes longer to reach the front. Something asked for twenty times in a week goes to the top, because that is the clearest signal we get about what the library is missing.
Once a title reaches the front of the queue it goes through the same process as everything else: installed on a clean machine, checked, and written up properly. That takes as long as it takes. A complex engineering package is a different job from a small utility, and neither gets rushed onto the site half-checked.
Give us enough to work with
- The exact name. Including the edition, because the professional and standard tiers of the same product are different packages.
- The version. If you specifically need an older release, say so and say why, because the current one is what would otherwise be listed.
- The platform. System version and architecture.
- What you need it for. Not required, but it helps when a request could be satisfied by something already listed.
What will not be listed
Anything that only exists as a service with no desktop application. Anything whose only builds in circulation are unverifiable. Anything that failed the install check, because a page for a release nobody can install is worse than no page.
Check first
Search the library before requesting. A title might be listed under its full product name rather than the one people use in conversation.
