About this release
Overview
WorkBench is a batch correction application aimed at people who shoot volume: event photographers, school and sports work, real estate, product catalogues and archive digitisation. The premise is that most of what a photograph needs is predictable, and that analysing each image individually beats applying one preset across a folder. Exposure, contrast, tint, colour vibrancy, sharpness and noise are assessed per image and corrected accordingly.
The correction engine works on perceptual models rather than histogram rules, which is why it recovers a backlit subject without flattening the whole frame and lifts shadow detail without the grey wash a simple curve produces. Face detection drives a separate set of corrections: skin tone balancing, blemish reduction, eye brightening, catchlight enhancement and teeth whitening are applied only where a face is found, at strengths you set once and apply to the whole batch.
Everything is non-destructive and reviewable. A before and after split view shows exactly what changed, corrections are adjustable per image after the batch pass, and presets can be built, named and applied per folder or per job type. Output covers raw formats from every current camera body, and the batch engine writes to whatever format and naming convention the job needs, including resized derivatives at several sizes in one pass.

Installation
Follow these in order
- Disconnect from the network before running setup.
- Extract the archive to a drive with several gigabytes free.
- Pause real time protection until the activation step is complete.
- Run setup as administrator and complete the installation.
- Open the application and set your default output folder and naming convention.
- Run a test batch of a dozen images before committing a full job, then restore protection.
Release notes
From whoever packed it
- The plugin builds for host applications are included in the same installer if you want it inside another editor.
- Sign-in and update components are removed. It never prompts for an account.
- GPU acceleration is on by default. Disable it in preferences if preview rendering shows artefacts.

Questions about this release
Answered before you ask
- Does it replace manual editing?
- For volume work it removes most of it. For hero images you will still finish by hand, and the corrections stay adjustable so you can start from the automatic pass.
- Can it write raw files back out?
- It writes processed output in the formats you choose. The raw originals are never modified.
- How fast is a large batch?
- Throughput scales with core count and raw decode speed. A few thousand raw files on a modern machine runs unattended in a single session.
