About this release
Overview
Illustrator draws with paths rather than pixels, which means a mark you make at business card size prints the same on the side of a truck. That is the whole argument for it, and every part of the program serves that: the pen tool and its anchor handling, the shape builder for boolean work, the alignment and distribution controls, and the pathfinder operations that turn overlapping shapes into a single clean outline.
For identity and packaging work the artboard system is the reason files stay organised. One document can hold every size and variant of a mark, each on its own board, exported in a single pass to whatever formats the client asked for. Symbols and global colours mean a palette change ripples through the whole set, and the asset export panel remembers scale and format per item so a re-export is one button rather than an afternoon.
Type is a first class citizen. Full OpenType support with alternates, ligatures and stylistic sets, variable font axes on sliders, text on a path, area type with proper optical margin alignment, and outline conversion that produces sensible point counts rather than the mess you get from a converter. Combined with the width tool and the vector brushes, it is a complete lettering environment as well as a drawing one.

Pen, curvature and anchor point tools with smart guides, live snapping and a pixel grid toggle. Path simplification that removes redundant anchors without shifting the curve.
Shape Builder and Pathfinder
Combine, subtract and intersect by dragging across regions rather than by dialog. The fastest way to build a complex icon out of primitives.
Artboards and asset export
Up to a thousand artboards per document, exported individually or in batches to SVG, PNG, PDF, EPS and JPEG with per-asset scale presets.
Global colours and recolour artwork
Change one swatch and every object using it updates. Recolour Artwork remaps an entire illustration to a new palette while preserving relative relationships.
Variable width strokes and vector brushes
The width tool tapers a stroke by hand, and art, pattern, scatter and bristle brushes all stay editable vectors rather than being rasterised.
Print ready output
Spot colours, overprint preview, separations preview, bleed setup and PDF/X export profiles that a prepress operator will accept without a phone call.

Installation
Follow these in order
- Go offline before you begin.
- Unpack the archive to a local drive rather than a network share.
- Turn off real time scanning until the install is finished.
- Run the setup file as administrator and select your languages.
- Allow the install to complete fully, then close the installer window.
- Start Illustrator once to build its font cache, then turn protection back on.
Release notes
From whoever packed it
- The full font catalogue is not bundled. System fonts and any you install yourself work normally.
- GPU performance mode is enabled by default and can be turned off in preferences if your card is old.
- Files save to the current AI format. Use Save As with a version target if you are sending work to an older studio.

- Yes, back through the legacy formats. Very old files may need their text reflowed once on open.
- Does SVG export produce clean code?
- Yes. The SVG export dialog offers styling as presentation attributes or internal CSS, with decimal precision control.
- Is there a limit on artboards?
- One thousand per document, which is far beyond what a normal identity project needs.
