About this release
Overview
uTorrent is a complete BitTorrent client in a few megabytes. It runs light, starts instantly, and handles queues of hundreds of transfers without becoming unresponsive. The interface is a list, a detail pane and a status bar, and everything you actually need is in the right click menu on a transfer.
The features that matter under load are all present: per-torrent and global bandwidth limits, a scheduler that throttles during working hours and opens up overnight, sequential ordering, selective file downloading so you take only what you want from a large collection, disk cache tuning, and priority control per file and per transfer. Protocol encryption, DHT, peer exchange and magnet handling are all standard.
The pro tier is what this build unlocks. That removes the advertising panels from the interface entirely, adds the built-in media player for previewing while a transfer is still running, includes the file conversion tool for playing on other devices, and enables the antivirus scan on completed files. Remote access from a browser or phone lets you add a transfer to the machine at home from anywhere.
What it does

Questions about this release
Answered before you ask
- Are the ads really gone?
- Yes, the sponsored panels and the offer prompts are both removed in this build.
- Does the remote access feature still work?
- It requires an account on the vendor's service, which is not part of this build. Local control works normally.
- Is there a portable version?
- Yes, included in the archive. It keeps its settings next to the executable.
