About this release
Overview
CapCut is designed around the way social video actually gets made. Drop a clip on the timeline, hit auto captions, pick a caption style, snap your cuts to the music beats it detected, and you have something publishable in minutes. It does not try to be a finishing tool for a feature film, and that focus is exactly why it is quick.
The desktop build is considerably more capable than the phone version it grew out of. You get multi-track editing with proper keyframing, curve based speed ramps, chroma key, masking, blending modes, colour adjustment with LUT support, and audio tools including noise reduction and voice isolation. The template system lets you drop your own footage into a pre-built edit and export it immediately.
This build has the pro tier unlocked, which is where the useful parts live: the full effect and transition catalogue, background removal without a green screen, the higher quality export presets, the complete font and sticker library, and export without any watermark burned into the corner. Everything runs locally.

Auto captions with styling
Transcribe speech and generate captions across a wide language set, then apply an animated caption style to the entire track at once.
Beat detection and rhythm cutting
Analyse a music track, place markers on the beats, and snap clip boundaries to them so a montage lands on the rhythm.
Background removal
Cut a subject out without a green screen, with edge refinement and a stroke or shadow applied to the result.
Speed ramping with curves
Draw a speed curve rather than picking a fixed multiplier, with optical flow interpolation for smooth slow motion.
Effects, transitions and text library
A large stocked catalogue of animated text presets, transitions, filters and overlays, all available offline in this build.
Export presets for every destination
Aspect ratio, resolution, frame rate and bitrate presets aimed at vertical, square and landscape delivery, with hardware encoding where available.

Installation
Follow these in order
- Uninstall any existing CapCut build first.
- Go offline before running the installer.
- Extract the archive.
- Disable real time protection.
- Run the installer and let it finish without launching the app.
- Start CapCut, confirm the pro badge on the export dialog, then re-enable protection.
Release notes
From whoever packed it
- Keep the application offline or block its update check. An update replaces the unlocked components.
- Cloud project sync is removed. Projects are stored locally in the drafts folder.
- Exports carry no watermark in this build, including from templates.
