Windows 10 Pro Lite
Version 22H2 Build 19045 (Lite) · Microsoft Corporation · x64 bootable ISO · ranked #137 in the library
A trimmed build of the professional edition with the bundled apps, telemetry and background services stripped out, aimed at older or low specification machines where the full system spends its resources on things you never asked for.

About this release
Overview
This is a modified professional edition image with the parts most people never use taken out. The bundled consumer apps, the background telemetry, the advertising and suggestion components, and the assistant and store machinery are removed, which leaves a system that boots faster, idles quieter and gives more of a modest machine's memory and processor back to the work you actually do on it. On an older laptop or a low specification desktop, the difference is felt rather than measured.
What is kept is the part that matters: the professional edition's management features and the core system that runs applications. Group policy, remote desktop and the professional networking pieces are present, drivers install normally, and ordinary desktop software runs exactly as it would on the full build. The goal of the trim is to remove weight without removing the ability to do real work, so it stays a genuine professional system rather than a stripped curiosity.
It installs from a bootable stick like any other image, on both UEFI and legacy machines, and activation is applied in advance. Because the update and store components are pared back, it is best treated as a stable install that you set up once and leave alone rather than one you expect to reshape itself over time, which on the class of machine it targets is usually exactly what is wanted.
What it does
Feature breakdown
Bundled apps removed
The consumer apps, store machinery and assistant components are stripped, freeing memory and processor on modest hardware.
Telemetry and advertising stripped
Background reporting, suggestions and advertising components taken out for a quieter idle.
Professional features kept
Group policy, remote desktop and the professional networking pieces remain, so it is a real professional system.
Faster on low specification machines
Lighter boot and idle, with more resources left for applications on older or slower hardware.
Normal application and driver support
Ordinary desktop software and drivers install and run exactly as on the full build.
Preactivated bootable image
Installs from a stick on UEFI and legacy machines with activation applied in advance.
Changed in this build
Version 22H2 Build 19045 (Lite)
- Component removal refined to keep application compatibility intact while cutting more background weight.
- Updated storage and network drivers slipstreamed for older hardware.
- Servicing updates integrated for a near current first boot.
- Reduced image size after further component cleanup.
- Setup stability improved on machines with small system drives.
Installation
Follow these in order
- Back up everything on the target machine. A clean install erases the system drive.
- Write the ISO to a USB stick of 8 GB or larger.
- Boot from the stick through the firmware boot menu.
- Choose your keyboard and select custom install.
- Delete the old system partitions for a clean install, then select the unallocated space.
- Complete setup, choosing the offline account option.
Release notes
From whoever packed it
- Because the store and update components are pared back, treat this as a set-once install rather than one that reshapes itself.
- Verify the checksum before writing. A truncated download fails setup partway through.
- If a specific removed component turns out to be needed, the full build is the better choice for that machine.
