Windows 10 Pro with Office 2019
Version 22H2 Build 19045 · Microsoft Corporation · x64 bootable ISO · ranked #121 in the library
A single installation image that lays down the professional desktop system and the perpetual office suite together, so a machine goes from bare drive to a working office in one pass rather than two separate installs.
Read the installation section below before you start. The order of the steps matters on this release.
About this release
Overview
This is the professional edition installation media with the office suite already slipstreamed into it. Instead of installing the system, booting it, then chasing down and installing the office applications afterwards, the whole set arrives together. For anyone rebuilding a workstation that has to be productive the moment it finishes, that combined image removes a whole afternoon of second stage work.
The system half is the professional edition, which is what most hardware and most production software is still validated against. BitLocker drive encryption, group policy editing, remote desktop hosting, Hyper-V and domain join are all present, none of which the home edition offers. On top of that the office half installs Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, Publisher and OneNote, the full professional line-up rather than the trimmed consumer selection.
The image is multilingual, with the interface language chosen at the first setup screen, and it boots on both UEFI and legacy BIOS machines. Activation for both the system and the office suite is applied inside the image, so there is no separate tool to run once setup finishes. The standard recovery environment is included for repair installs and command line recovery when a machine stops starting.
What it does
Feature breakdown
System and office in one image
The professional desktop edition and the full office suite install from a single ISO, so a fresh machine is productive as soon as setup ends.
Complete professional office line-up
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, Publisher and OneNote, including the database and layout tools the consumer editions leave out.
BitLocker and group policy
Full volume encryption and proper policy control, the management features that separate the professional edition from the home one.
Remote desktop host and Hyper-V
Accept incoming remote sessions and run virtual machines without any third party software, both professional only capabilities.
Multilingual setup
Every interface language present in the one image, selected at the first screen rather than downloaded afterwards.
Dual firmware boot
Installs on UEFI and legacy BIOS machines, with the recovery environment refreshed alongside the main image.
Changed in this build
Version 22H2 Build 19045
- Office suite integration updated to the current servicing level so a fresh install is close to current on first boot.
- System servicing updates slipstreamed to reduce first boot patching.
- Updated storage and network drivers added for recent chipsets.
- Setup no longer stalls on machines with leftover partitions from a previous install.
- Reduced image size after cleaning superseded component store entries.
Installation
Follow these in order
- Back up everything on the target machine. A clean install erases the system drive.
- Write the ISO to a USB stick of 8 GB or larger with a tool that handles both UEFI and legacy boot.
- Boot from the stick, entering the firmware boot menu if it does not pick it up automatically.
- Choose your language and keyboard, then select custom install rather than upgrade.
- Delete the old system partitions for a genuinely clean install, then select the unallocated space.
- Complete setup, choose the offline account option, then open Word once to confirm the office suite is activated.
Release notes
From whoever packed it
- Verify the checksum before writing. A truncated download fails setup partway through.
- Keep the machine offline through first boot so setup does not force an online account.
- Leave office feature updates disabled. A servicing channel update resets the office activation state.
