About this release
Overview
Live is built around two views of the same project. The arrangement view is a conventional left to right timeline where a track is assembled and mixed. The session view is a grid of clips that can be launched, looped and combined on the fly, which is where ideas get built and where the program earns its name on stage. Moving between the two is instant, and a performance captured in the session view drops straight into the arrangement as an editable recording.
The workflow is designed to keep momentum. Warping stretches any audio to the project tempo without fuss, so a sample from anywhere locks to the grid immediately. MIDI editing, audio editing, automation and device chains all sit in the same window, and the browser puts every sound, instrument and effect one drag away. Capture records the notes you just played even when you were not recording, which is the feature that saves the take you did not know you wanted to keep.
The Suite edition is the complete version and that is what this listing is. It adds the full set of instruments, including the physical modelling and additive synths, the sampler, the granular and spectral devices, and the entire bundled sound library, along with Max for Live for building or installing custom devices. The intro and standard editions leave most of that out. This build installs the whole thing with the library and activation in place.

Installation
Follow these in order
- Go offline before you begin.
- Extract the archive to a local drive with room for the library.
- Disable real time protection.
- Run the installer and let the sound library install fully, it takes a while.
- Apply the included activation step before first launch.
- Open Live, confirm the Suite devices are all present, then re-enable protection.

- Block the application in your firewall. An online check can revert it to a limited edition.
- The full library is bundled here rather than downloaded from the vendor.
- Third party plugins from a previous install need rescanning after this build is in place.
