About this release
Overview
VirtualDJ replaces the pair of decks and the mixer with software, and the pro tier removes every restriction on what hardware you can plug into it and how many decks you can run. Two, four or six decks, sampler banks, effect racks, video output and karaoke all sit in one skinnable interface that reconfigures itself depending on the controller you connect. Plug in a supported unit and the mapping loads automatically, jog wheels, faders, pads, screens and all.
The stem engine is what changed the craft. Every track is separated in real time into vocals, instruments, drums and bass, which means an acapella from one record can be dropped over the instrumental of another live, mid set, without either file having been prepared in advance. The separation runs on the fly with enough headroom to hold a set together on ordinary laptop hardware, and the isolated parts route to their own faders and effects.
Underneath the performance layer is a librarian that matters more than it looks. It analyses tempo, key and energy across the whole collection, tracks what you played and when, suggests compatible next tracks by harmonic key, and keeps hot cues, loops and beat grids attached to each file no matter where it moves on disk. Recording, streaming out and video mixing with linked visuals are all built in rather than bolted on.

Vocals, instruments, drums and bass split live during playback, each with its own fader and effect send, so acapellas and instrumentals are available without preparation.
Two to six deck operation
Run as many decks as the set needs, with independent effect racks, loop rolls, slicers and sampler banks per deck.
Automatic controller mapping
Hundreds of hardware units recognised on connection with full mapping including screens and motorised elements, plus a mapping editor for anything unusual.
Beat grid, key detection and harmonic mixing
Whole library analysis for tempo, key and energy, with next track suggestions based on harmonic compatibility and set history.
Video and karaoke mixing
Mix video files with linked audio, apply video transitions and effects, and run karaoke tracks with synchronised lyric display to a second output.
Recording and broadcast
Record the master output to disk while playing, or stream it out live, with separate handling for the microphone channel.

Installation
Follow these in order
- Disconnect from the network before running setup.
- Extract the archive to a local folder.
- Disable real time protection while the licence component is applied.
- Run the installer as administrator and complete the standard setup.
- Apply the included activation step before the first launch, not after.
- Open the application, confirm the pro tier is shown in the settings panel, then restore protection.
Release notes
From whoever packed it
- Keep the machine offline or block the update check. An online check replaces the licence state.
- Set your audio interface and output routing in settings before a set. The default shared driver adds latency.
- Analyse the whole library once before a gig rather than letting it analyse tracks as you load them.
