About this release
Overview
Movavi Video Editor Plus is deliberately small in scope and very quick to learn. Media goes into a bin, clips drop onto a timeline with separate video, audio, title and overlay tracks, and everything else is applied by dragging an item from a panel onto a clip. There is no render engine to configure, no colour space to understand and no proxy workflow to set up. For family video, travel edits, school projects and simple channel content, that is the correct amount of program.
The timeline is more capable than the interface suggests. Clips can be split, trimmed and rearranged with ripple behaviour, speed can be changed with a smooth interpolation option, transforms and opacity accept keyframes, and there are picture in picture, split screen and overlay modes that handle the layered shots most consumer editors need. Chroma key works well enough for a green sheet setup, stabilisation cleans up handheld footage, and there is a background removal option that does not need a green screen at all.
The bundled library is a large part of what is being paid for. Animated titles, transitions, filters, overlays, stickers, callout graphics, sound effects and music beds are installed locally rather than streamed, so the whole catalogue is available with no connection. Audio handling covers noise removal, normalisation, fade curves and automatic ducking under speech, and export runs through presets aimed at specific destinations and device sizes with hardware encoding used where the machine has it. This build is activated and exports carry no watermark.
What it does
Feature breakdown
Track based timeline with keyframes
Video, audio, overlay and title tracks with trimming, splitting, ripple edits, and keyframed position, scale, rotation and opacity on any clip.
Installed effects and title library
Transitions, animated titles, filters, overlays, stickers, sound effects and music beds bundled locally rather than pulled from an online store.
Chroma key and background removal
Key out a green or blue backdrop with spill suppression, or remove a background with no screen at all when the shot will not allow one.
Stabilisation and speed control
Smooth handheld footage without the rubbery edges of older correction, and ramp speed up or down with frame interpolation for clean slow motion.
Audio clean-up and ducking
Noise removal, normalisation, equalisation and automatic ducking that drops the music bed under dialogue without keyframing it by hand.
Destination export presets
Resolution, aspect, frame rate and bitrate presets for vertical, square and landscape delivery, with hardware encoding where the GPU supports it.
Changed in this build
Version 26.21.3
- New transition and animated title collections added to the bundled library.
- Faster export on machines with a hardware encoder, particularly on longer H.265 output.
- Background removal handles hair and fast motion with fewer edge artefacts.
- Timeline scrubbing stays responsive on projects with several hundred clips.
- Fixed a crash when importing variable frame rate recordings from phones and screen capture tools.
Installation
Follow these in order
- Uninstall any previous Movavi build and remove its leftover folder.
- Go offline before running setup.
- Extract the archive to a local drive.
- Disable real time protection for the duration.
- Run the installer, then apply the included activation step before the first launch.

- The bundled asset library is local. Extra packs from the online store are not included and will not download.
- Projects saved in this build will not open in an older version of the editor.

Questions about this release
Answered before you ask
- Is the export watermarked?
- No. Exports from this build are clean at every resolution.
- Does it handle 4K?
- Yes, though playback on a modest machine is smoother with the preview quality dropped while editing.
- Can I use the effects offline?
- The bundled library works with no connection. Anything from the online store does not.
