Chaos Enscape
Version 4.19.0.2748 · Chaos Group · Windows 10 / 11 (64-bit) · ranked #29 in the library
A real time rendering plugin that lives inside the modelling application, so a design change in the model appears in a fully lit walkthrough in the second window without any export step at all.
Read the installation section below before you start. The order of the steps matters on this release.
About this release
Overview
Enscape installs into the host application rather than standing alone. Open a model in Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, ArchiCAD or Vectorworks, press the render button on the toolbar, and a second window opens showing the model lit, materialised and navigable in real time. Move a wall in the model and the render window updates as you release the mouse. There is no export, no scene setup and no waiting.
That immediacy changes how it gets used. Instead of rendering at the end of a design stage, the render window stays open on a second monitor throughout, which means lighting and material decisions are made while the design is still moving. For client meetings it means walking through options live rather than presenting a set of stills chosen a week earlier.
The bundled asset library covers vegetation, people, furniture, fittings and accessories placed directly in the host model, so they persist as part of the project. Output includes stills at print resolution, video from keyframed paths, 360 panoramas, and standalone executable walkthroughs that a client can open on their own machine with nothing installed.
What it does
Feature breakdown
Live link to the host application
Runs as a plugin inside Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, ArchiCAD and Vectorworks, with the render updating as the model changes.
Real time navigation
Walk or fly through the scene at full quality while it renders, with collision detection for a realistic walkthrough.
Bundled asset library
Vegetation, people, furniture, fittings and site accessories placed into the host model so they stay with the project.
Material editing in place
Adjust reflection, bump, displacement and transparency on host materials without leaving the modelling application.
Sun study and artificial lighting
Set the sun by location, date and time, and use the host model's light fixtures with real photometric behaviour.
Standalone walkthrough export
Produce an executable scene, a 360 panorama set or a video that a client can open with nothing installed.

Installation
Follow these in order
- Install and close your host application first. The plugin needs to find it during setup.
- Go offline.
- Extract the archive.
- Disable real time protection.
- Run setup as administrator and tick every host application you use.
- Open the host application, confirm the toolbar appears, then re-enable protection.
Release notes
From whoever packed it
- The plugin version must match the host application version. Check compatibility before installing over a working setup.
- A ray tracing capable GPU makes a very large difference. Below the minimum VRAM it will refuse to start.
- Assets placed through Enscape become part of the host model and travel with the file.
System requirements

| Operating system | Windows 10 version 22H2 or Windows 11, 64-bit |
|---|---|
| Processor | Modern quad core or better |
| Memory | 16 GB minimum, 32 GB recommended |

Questions about this release
Answered before you ask
- Does it work with my version of Revit?
- It supports the current and several previous releases. Older hosts need an older plugin build.
- Can I render without the host open?
- No. It is a plugin and the host application drives it.
- Is the asset library included?
- Yes, the library installs locally with this package.
