About this release
Overview
Foxit PDF Editor Pro does everything the standard heavyweight in this category does, but it opens in a couple of seconds and stays responsive on documents that make other readers hesitate. Editing works paragraph by paragraph rather than line by line, so changing a sentence reflows the surrounding text instead of leaving a ragged gap, and fonts are matched and embedded automatically when the original is available on the machine.
Text recognition is built in and covers a long list of languages. A scanned document becomes searchable and editable, with the recognised text layer sitting under the original page image so appearance is preserved while the content becomes usable. Batch recognition runs over a folder of scans unattended, which is the difference between digitising an archive and giving up on it.
The Pro tier carries the features that offices actually need: form creation and filling with field recognition on existing documents, digital signature application and validation, real redaction that removes the underlying content rather than drawing a black box over it, document comparison highlighting changes between two revisions, page organisation, watermarking, header and footer stamping, encryption with permission control, and export to editable document, spreadsheet, presentation and image formats with layout retained.

Installation
Follow these in order
- Disconnect from the network before running setup.
- Extract the archive to any folder with a few gigabytes free.
- Pause real time protection until activation is complete.
- Run setup as administrator and select the recognition language packs you need.
- Decline the browser integration components if you do not want them.
- Open the application once to confirm activation, then restore protection.

- Can it edit any PDF?
- Any PDF that is not encrypted against editing. Scanned pages need the recognition pass first, which the application offers automatically.
- Does redaction really remove the content?
- Yes. The underlying text and image data is deleted rather than covered, which is why the operation cannot be undone after saving.
- Will forms filled here open elsewhere?
- Yes. Forms and field data follow the standard, so they open and submit correctly in other readers.
