KMSAuto++
Version 1.9.9 · Ratiborus · Windows 7 / 8 / 10 / 11 · ranked #31 in the library
A small portable activation utility for the desktop system and the office suite, built around a local service that hands out the licence and a scheduled renewal task so the state does not lapse.
Read the installation section below before you start. The order of the steps matters on this release.
About this release
Overview
KMSAuto++ is the compact single window version of the approach that the larger collections wrap in a launcher. It stands up a local key management service on the machine itself, points the installed product at that service, requests the licence, and then tears the service back down. The whole operation happens on one machine with no external connection involved, which is why it works the same on an air gapped workstation as on one that sits behind a corporate proxy.
The window is deliberately plain. There is a main tab with the two large action buttons for the system and for the office suite, an information tab that reports what is installed and what state it is currently in, and a system tab holding the renewal task, the manual key installers and the cleanup routines. Most people never leave the first two tabs, and the information tab is the one worth reading before you press anything.
Renewal is the part that separates it from a one shot tool. The licence it installs has a finite lifetime, so the utility can register a scheduled task that repeats the request quietly in the background at a regular interval. If you would rather not leave a task behind, the renewal can be skipped entirely and the operation repeated by hand whenever the counter runs low. Both paths are supported and the choice is a single checkbox.
What it does
Feature breakdown
Portable single executable
Nothing installs. Unpack it, run it, and delete the folder afterwards. No service is left running and no entry appears in the installed programs list unless you add the renewal task deliberately.
System and office suite in one window
Two buttons cover both product families across several generations, with the utility detecting which editions are present rather than asking you to identify them.
Information tab with full status readout
Reports installed edition, channel, current licensing state, remaining interval and whether any previous tool has already touched the store. Read this before doing anything else.
Optional scheduled renewal
Register a background task that repeats the request on an interval, or skip it and handle renewal manually. The task can be removed later from the same tab.
Manual key management
Install, list and clear product keys directly, which is the way out of a store that a half finished previous attempt left inconsistent.
Cleanup and restore routines
Remove every trace of the utility, including the task, the temporary service registration and the cached state, in one action.
Changed in this build
Version 1.9.9
- Updated detection for the current office suite build numbers so newer installs are recognised without a manual edition pick.
- Renewal task creation reworked to survive a system feature update rather than being dropped silently.
- Information tab now reports the remaining interval in plain language instead of raw counter values.
- Fixed a hang that could occur when the local service port was already in use by another application.
- Several English interface strings corrected and the log output made readable rather than abbreviated.
Installation
Follow these in order
- Turn real time protection off completely rather than adding an exclusion, quarantine mid-run leaves the store half modified.
- Extract the archive to a folder you control rather than a temporary directory.
- Run the executable as administrator, there is no installer step.
- Open the information tab first and read what is currently installed and what state it is in.
- Press the button for the product you are dealing with and wait for the log to report completion.
- Reboot, verify the state on the information tab, then restore protection.
Release notes
From whoever packed it
- Every engine flags this class of tool on sight. The detection is about what it does to licensing state, not about this specific build.
- Do not run this alongside another activation utility against the same product. Overlapping changes are the usual cause of a store that will not accept any key afterwards.
- If you decline the renewal task, note the interval shown on the information tab and repeat the operation before it expires.

Questions about this release
Answered before you ask
- Does it need a connection?
- No. The service it uses is created locally on the same machine and removed afterwards.
- Will a feature update undo it?
- A major in place upgrade can reset the state. Run it again afterwards and it applies in seconds.
- Can I remove it cleanly?
- Yes, the system tab has a cleanup routine that removes the task and every trace it created.
