About this release
Overview
KMS Tools is a container rather than a single program. Open the launcher and you get a list of the individual utilities, each one maintained separately and each one aimed at a specific situation: a system image, an office suite install, a converted retail edition, or a machine where a previous attempt left the licensing store in a mess. Picking the right tool from the list is most of the work.
Everything runs portable. Nothing installs, nothing registers a service, and nothing is left behind when you close the window and delete the folder. The launcher unpacks a tool to a temporary location, runs it, and cleans up afterwards, which makes it convenient to carry on a stick and use on a machine you do not intend to change permanently.
The collection includes the information and diagnostic side as well, which is the part people underuse. Before running anything, the status readers will tell you what edition is installed, what channel it came from, what the current licensing state is and whether a previous tool has already been applied. That information usually makes it obvious which utility is the right one.
What it does
Feature breakdown
One launcher, many tools
The whole set in a single window with a short description per entry, so you pick the right utility rather than running all of them in turn.
Fully portable
Nothing installs. Tools unpack to temporary storage, run, and clean up when closed.
Status and diagnostic readers
Report the installed edition, channel, licensing state and previous modifications before you change anything.
Office and system coverage
Separate utilities for the desktop system and for the office suite across several generations.
Edition conversion helpers
Move a machine between editions where the installed image supports it, without reinstalling from scratch.
Regular rebuilds
The collection is repackaged as individual tools are updated, so the bundled versions stay current.
Changed in this build
Version 11.02.2026
- Individual tools refreshed to their latest builds in this rebuild of the collection.
- Launcher window redrawn with clearer descriptions and a searchable list.
- Improved cleanup of temporary files when a tool is closed unexpectedly.
- Added detection for a licensing state left behind by an interrupted previous run.
- Several interface strings corrected in the English translation.
Installation
Follow these in order
- Disable real time protection completely. Every tool in this collection is flagged on sight and quarantine will break the launcher.
- Extract the archive to a folder you control, not to a temporary directory.
- Run the launcher as administrator.
- Read the status information first and identify which product you are dealing with.
- Pick the single tool that matches your situation rather than running several.
- Reboot, verify the state, then re-enable protection and add an exclusion only if you plan to keep the folder.
Release notes
From whoever packed it
- Detections are expected and are the reason the collection is distributed as an archive.
- Do not run more than one tool against the same product. Overlapping changes are the main cause of a broken licensing store.
- Keep a system restore point from before the run if the machine is one you cannot easily rebuild.

Questions about this release
Answered before you ask
- Why does my antivirus block it?
- Anything that alters licensing state is classified as a risk tool by every engine. That classification is about behaviour, not about this build specifically.
- Which tool should I use?
- Read the status output first. It identifies the product and channel, and that determines which utility applies.
- Does it need to stay installed?
- No. It is portable and nothing needs to remain on the machine afterwards.
