About this release
Overview
AOMEI Backupper handles the full range of backup work rather than one narrow slice. It images a whole system so a machine can be put back exactly as it was, backs up individual partitions, files and folders on a schedule, and clones a drive directly to a replacement, which is how you move a working install onto a larger or faster disk without reinstalling anything. Incremental and differential schedules keep the ongoing backup small after the first full run.
The rescue media is the part that earns its keep on a bad day. The included builder writes a bootable environment to a stick or a disc, so when a machine will not start you boot from that, and restore an image onto the drive from outside the failed system. Universal restore adjusts the recovered image for different hardware, which means an image taken on a dead machine can be brought back on a different one rather than failing on a driver mismatch.
This is the technician tier, which lifts the licensing restrictions of the consumer editions. It runs on unlimited machines within a business, images servers as well as workstations, and includes the portable version that runs from a stick without installing on the machine being serviced. Command line control allows the whole thing to be scripted into a deployment or a maintenance routine.

Follow these in order
- Extract the archive.
- Disable real time protection while the licensed component is applied.
- Run the installer and complete setup.
- Apply the included activation to unlock the technician tier.
- Build a rescue stick straight away so it exists before you need it.
- Re-enable protection.
Release notes
From whoever packed it
- Build the rescue media before you rely on the tool. A backup you cannot restore is not a backup.
- Store images on a separate drive from the source. An image on the same disk dies with the disk.
- The portable build runs without installation, which is the one to keep on a service stick.
