About this release
Overview
Corona took a position that turned out to be right: most render settings are noise. Rather than exposing dozens of sampling controls, it runs a progressive path tracer that keeps refining an image until you stop it, with essentially one quality dial. That removes an entire category of work from the process, and the results at equivalent quality are competitive with renderers that demand far more setup.
The interactive render is the working method. It runs in a docked window updating live as you move objects, adjust lights or edit materials, refining continuously while you work rather than requiring a restart per change. Lighting an interior becomes a conversation with the image instead of a series of guesses separated by waiting, which is where the time actually goes on architectural work.
The physically based material system covers the usual surface behaviours through a single flexible material with layered coatings, sheen and displacement, plus dedicated materials for volumetrics, hair and layered blends. Post processing including tone mapping, bloom, glare, exposure and colour grading is applied live and non-destructively in the frame buffer, so a look is set while the render is still running and can be changed afterwards without rendering again.

Installation
Follow these in order
- Close 3ds Max completely before installing.
- Extract the archive and pause real time protection.
- Run the installer and select the host version it should register with.
- Install the material library when prompted, choosing a fast drive for it.
- Apply the included activation before launching the host application.
- Open 3ds Max, select the renderer, run a test render, then restore protection.
Release notes
From whoever packed it
- Core count is what determines render speed here. Memory only becomes the limit on very large scenes.
- Do not start the licensing service afterwards, it replaces what the activation modifies.
- The version must match the host application generation. A mismatched build will not register.
