Overview
Driver hunting is the part of a fresh install that eats an evening. The board has a chipset nobody names on the box, the network adapter has no driver so the machine cannot fetch one, and the manufacturer support page has three files with similar names and no explanation. Driver Easy scans the hardware identifiers directly, matches them against its catalogue, and tells you what each unknown device actually is before it downloads anything.
The professional tier is where the tool becomes practical rather than merely informative. Downloads run at full speed instead of throttled, updates install in a batch instead of one at a time with a manual browse for each, and the whole set can be applied in one pass with a system restore point taken beforehand. Every replaced driver is backed up so a bad update is a two click rollback rather than a recovery boot.
The offline scan is the feature worth knowing about. On a machine with no working network adapter, it produces a hardware profile file that you carry to a machine that does have a connection, download the matching driver bundle, and bring back. That solves the circular problem that makes a fresh install on unfamiliar hardware so tedious, and it is the reason this stays on a technician stick.

Installation
Follow these in order
- Extract the archive to a folder or a USB stick.
- Disable real time protection while the licence component is applied.
- Run the installer as administrator.
- Apply the included licence step before launching the application.
- Open the application, confirm the professional tier is active, then re-enable protection.
- Create a restore point manually before your first batch install if the machine matters.

From whoever packed it
- Take the restore point. A bad graphics driver on a machine with no recovery path is a long evening.
- Do not update a working storage controller driver unless you have a reason. That is the one that stops a machine booting.
- Block the program update check. An update resets the licence state.

- The scan does, and the offline profile lets you fetch the packages from another machine. Downloads themselves obviously need a connection somewhere.
- Can it identify unknown devices?
- Yes, that is the main reason to run it. It reads the hardware identifier and names the device even when Windows cannot.
- Is rollback reliable?
- Yes, provided the backup was taken. It restores the exact previous package rather than an approximation.
