Overview
Driver Talent enumerates every device in the system, including the ones the built in update service quietly ignores, and reports which drivers are outdated, missing entirely, or installed but failing. The scan covers graphics, chipset, audio, network adapters, storage controllers, input devices, printers and the long tail of peripherals whose manufacturer stopped publishing updates through any normal channel years ago.
The backup and restore side is what makes it safe to use on a machine you rely on. Before any install it can write the existing driver package out to a folder, and that folder can be restored later on the same machine or used to bring a freshly reinstalled system back to a working state without hunting for anything. Restore points are created around a batch install, and individual devices can be rolled back on their own instead of reverting everything at once.
The feature people underrate is the pre-download. On a machine with no working network adapter, a fresh install with nothing but a generic display driver, or a workstation deliberately kept off the network, you can select the target machine's hardware profile from another computer, download the matching driver set to a folder or a USB stick, and install from that folder offline. It also handles the supporting runtimes and the peripheral utilities that a clean system usually turns out to be missing.

Installation
Follow these in order
- Extract the archive to a folder you control.
- Disable real time protection, the activation component is flagged by most engines.
- Run the installer as administrator and complete the standard setup.
- Do not launch the program yet. Apply the included activation step first.
- Start Driver Talent, run a scan, and back up your existing drivers before installing anything.
- Re-enable protection once the first scan has finished.

From whoever packed it
- Back up before the first batch install. It takes a minute and it is the difference between a bad graphics driver being an annoyance and being an evening.
- Leave automatic updates of the program itself disabled. An update reverts the activation state.
- Update graphics drivers one at a time rather than in a batch with everything else, so a problem is easy to attribute.

Answered before you ask
- Will it install a driver my machine should not have?
- Matching is by hardware id, but on unusual or rebadged hardware the vendor package is still the safer choice. Back up first either way.
- Can I use it on a machine with no internet?
- Yes, that is what the pre-download is for. Stage the set on another machine and install from the folder offline.
- Does it run in the background?
- Only if you enable scheduled scanning. Otherwise it does nothing until you open it.
