About this release

Overview

Multisim draws a circuit and then runs it. The schematic editor places components from a large parts database and wires them together, and the SPICE engine underneath turns that schematic into equations and solves them. Instead of building a prototype to find out that a bias point is wrong, you place a virtual probe on the node and read the voltage, which is a much faster and cheaper way to be wrong.

The instrument set is what makes it approachable for anyone who has stood at a bench. Rather than reading raw simulation output, you drag a virtual oscilloscope, multimeter, function generator, bode plotter or logic analyser onto the schematic and connect it like real equipment. The traces and readings match what the same instrument would show on the bench, which makes the simulation a genuine teaching and design tool rather than a wall of numbers.

The professional tier covers the analyses a real design needs: DC operating point, transient, AC sweep, noise, Monte Carlo for component tolerance, worst case, and temperature sweeps. It handles analog, digital and mixed signal circuits together, includes a large database of real manufacturer parts with their actual models, and passes a completed design to a board layout tool so the schematic becomes a physical board.

Installation

Follow these in order

  1. Go offline before starting.
  2. Extract the archive.
  3. Disable real time protection.
  4. Run setup as administrator and complete the install.
  5. Apply the included licensing configuration when prompted.
  6. Launch Multisim, confirm it opens without a licensing prompt, then re-enable protection.
Expect a detection. Anything that changes how a program checks its licence is classified as a risk tool by every scanning engine, which is why the steps ask you to pause protection. If that is not something you want to do, this is not the right download for you.
