About this release
Overview
PowerISO handles disc images the way an archiver handles archives. It opens an ISO, BIN, NRG, DAA or almost any other image format, lets you add, remove and rename files inside it directly rather than extracting and rebuilding, and saves the result back out. It creates images from a folder or a disc, converts between formats, and compresses an image to its own smaller format when you want to save space.
The two jobs most people install it for are mounting and writing. Mounting an image presents it as a virtual drive so the contents are available as if a disc were in the machine, with several virtual drives at once if you need them. Writing takes an installer image and puts it onto a USB stick as bootable media, which is how a system image becomes something you can actually install from now that machines have no optical drives.
It still does the traditional disc jobs for the machines that have a drive: burning a data or audio disc, copying a disc to an image or disc to disc, and erasing a rewritable. This build is registered so there is no size limit on the images it will write and no nag on startup. Both architectures are in the package.

Installation
Follow these in order
- Extract the archive.
- Run the installer and choose the file associations you want.
- Apply the included registration step so the size limit and the nag are removed.
- Start PowerISO and confirm it opens without a reminder.
- Set up the number of virtual drives you want in the options.
- Re-enable protection if you turned it off.
Release notes
From whoever packed it
- Both architectures are in the archive. Use the 64-bit build unless the machine is genuinely 32-bit.
- Writing a bootable stick erases the stick. Move anything off it first.
- For a system installer, confirm the target boot mode matches the machine you will install on.
