About this release

Overview

Creo builds parts from ordered features. A sketch becomes a protrusion, a round softens an edge, a pattern repeats a hole, and every one of those steps remains a live entry in the model tree with its own references and constraints. Reordering, suppressing, redefining or rolling back through that tree is the normal way to work rather than an emergency measure, which is what keeps a part editable after twenty revisions instead of becoming something you rebuild from scratch.

Assemblies scale to the size of a real product. Components are placed with constraints or with the mechanism connections that leave deliberate degrees of freedom, skeleton models and copy geometry push controlling geometry down into subassemblies so the layout drives the detail, and simplified representations let you open a fraction of a large assembly when that is all you need. Interference checks, mass properties and exploded states come off the same model, and every drawing view stays associative to it.

The surrounding environments cover the rest of a mechanical job. Freestyle and style surfacing for shaped exterior geometry, sheet metal with wall, bend and form features and correct flat patterns, weldments and framework, mould and casting design with draft and parting surfaces, and the simulation and generative side for stress studies and shape optimisation against loads and constraints. The HelpCenter documentation set is bundled with this package and installs locally, so the full command reference and tutorials are available on a machine that never goes online.

What it does

Feature breakdown

History based parametric modelling

An ordered feature tree with full rollback, reorder, suppress and redefine, so early design intent stays editable however far the part has progressed.

Large assembly handling

Skeletons, copy geometry, simplified representations and envelope parts keep a many thousand component assembly openable and coordinated.

Surfacing and freeform geometry

Boundary blends, sweeps, style surfaces and subdivision freestyle modelling for exterior shape work that then feeds back into solid features.

Sheet metal and framework

Wall, bend, punch and form features with correct flat patterns and bend tables, plus structural framework with automatic cut lists.

Simulation and generative design

Structural and thermal studies inside the modelling environment, plus generative shape optimisation driven by loads, constraints and manufacturing method.

Associative drawings and annotation

Views, sections, details, dimensions, geometric tolerances and tables that update with the model, with model based definition for annotation carried in 3D.

Changed in this build

Version 13.4.0.0

  • Faster regeneration on parts with deep feature trees and many external references.
  • Improved graphics performance on large assemblies, particularly with shaded and edge display combined.
  • Sketcher constraint diagnostics rewritten with clearer conflict reporting and suggested resolutions.
  • Generative design study setup simplified, with more manufacturing constraint options exposed directly.
  • Better import fidelity from neutral formats, needing fewer surface healing passes on imported geometry.

Installation

Follow these in order

  1. Go offline and stay offline for the whole process.
  2. Extract the archive to a drive with at least 45 GB free, this is a large package.
  3. Disable real time protection before starting.
  4. Run the installation assistant as administrator and select the modules and the HelpCenter component.
  5. Point the licensing step at the included configuration when it asks rather than at a server address.
  6. Complete the install, reboot, launch Creo once, then re-enable protection.
Expect a detection. Anything that changes how a program checks its licence is classified as a risk tool by every scanning engine, which is why the steps ask you to pause protection. If that is not something you want to do, this is not the right download for you.

Release notes

From whoever packed it

  • Verify the archive hash before extracting. At this size an incomplete download is common and fails partway through setup.
  • A certified graphics driver matters more here than raw GPU speed. Use the workstation driver if your card has one.
  • Set the licensing service to manual start after installation so it does not run at every boot.

System requirements

Minimum and recommended

Operating systemWindows 10 version 22H2 or Windows 11, 64-bit
Processor3 GHz or faster with strong single core performance, more cores help simulation
Memory16 GB minimum, 32 GB recommended, 64 GB for very large assemblies and analysis
GraphicsCertified workstation GPU strongly recommended, 4 GB VRAM minimum, OpenGL support required
Storage30 GB of free space for the application and the bundled documentation set

Questions about this release

Answered before you ask

Is the HelpCenter documentation included?
Yes, it installs locally as part of this package, so the full reference and tutorials work with no connection.
Can it open files from other CAD packages?
Neutral formats such as STEP, IGES and Parasolid import directly, and several native formats come in through the included translators.
Does it need a licence server on the network?
No. It is configured to run standalone with no server present.
