About this release

Overview

This is a one window utility with a short list of buttons. It reads the current licensing state of the installation, reports which edition is present, and writes a permanent digital entitlement tied to the machine rather than a renewing lease. Once it has run and reported success, the tool is finished. There is no resident component, no scheduled task and nothing that reactivates on a timer, which is the main reason people prefer it over the loader style approaches that have to stay installed.

It covers the full Windows 10 and Windows 11 edition range including Home, Home Single Language, Pro, Pro for Workstations, Education and Enterprise, and it can change the installed edition before writing the entitlement if you are on a lower edition than you want. Server editions are outside its scope. The tool detects the edition automatically, so in the normal case you press the main button and wait for the confirmation line.

The interface is deliberately plain. A status area at the top shows the detected edition and current state, a row of action buttons sits below it, and a log pane at the bottom prints each step as it happens so you can see exactly what was done. Everything runs from the single executable with no unpacking to a temporary folder, which makes it convenient to keep on a technician stick alongside the rest of your recovery tools.

What it does

Feature breakdown

Permanent digital entitlement

Writes a durable licence rather than a timed lease. Nothing has to re-run on a schedule and nothing stays resident after the tool closes.

Full edition coverage

Home, Home Single Language, Pro, Pro for Workstations, Education and Enterprise on both Windows 10 and Windows 11, with automatic detection of what is installed.

Edition change before activation

Switch a Home installation up to Pro in place, without reinstalling or losing installed applications, then write the entitlement for the new edition.

Single portable executable

No installer, no unpacking, no registry footprint beyond the licensing change itself. Runs from a stick and leaves nothing behind.

Readable operation log

Every step prints to the log pane as it runs, so a failure tells you which stage failed rather than showing a generic error box.

Backup and restore of licensing state

Saves the current state before making changes so the machine can be put back the way it was found if something goes wrong.

Changed in this build

Version 1.5.5.6

  • Support added for the newest Windows 11 feature update and its revised edition identifiers.
  • Edition change routine reworked so it no longer requires a restart between the change and the entitlement write.
  • Log pane now records the detected build number alongside the edition for easier troubleshooting.
  • Interface scaling fixed on displays above one hundred and fifty percent.
  • Smaller executable after removing the obsolete routines for versions no longer in service.

Installation

Follow these in order

  1. Pause real time protection before extracting. Tools in this category are flagged by every engine on sight.
  2. Extract the archive to a folder outside the protected system directories.
  3. Right click the executable and run it as administrator.
  4. Read the detected edition in the status area and change it first if you want a different one.
  5. Press the activation button and wait for the log pane to print the confirmation line.
  6. Close the tool, restart the machine, then re-enable protection.
Expect a detection. Anything that changes how a program checks its licence is classified as a risk tool by every scanning engine, which is why the steps ask you to pause protection. If that is not something you want to do, this is not the right download for you.

Release notes

From whoever packed it

  • Every antivirus engine flags this category of tool. Add the folder to your exclusion list before extracting or the file will vanish mid-copy.
  • Nothing is left running afterwards. Check the startup list yourself if you want to confirm it.
  • Server editions are not supported. Use a tool built for that family instead.

Questions about this release

Answered before you ask

Does it have to stay on the machine?
No. Run it once, confirm the result, then delete it. Nothing depends on the file afterwards.
Will a feature update undo it?
The entitlement survives ordinary cumulative updates. A full in-place upgrade to a new feature release usually carries it across as well.
Why does my antivirus delete it?
Behavioural detection on the licensing routines. Exclude the folder before extracting, then restore protection when you are done.
